About Vision Zero Campaign
Vision Zero is a global campaign launched by the International Social Security Association, the first ever, to improve safety, health and wellbeing at work. The campaign was curated with the aim to engage enterprises worldwide to systematically cut down on occupational accidents and diseases by investing in a healthy and motivated workforce. Vision Zero has seen footprints in, first in Singapore at the XXI World Safety and Health Congress in 2017 with the Africa launch in Cote D’Ivoire in April 2018. Ghana is next African country after Nigeria to launch the campaign that has seen over 1950 companies and trainers sign up.
Why Vision Zero Ghana
In the fast revolving space of economies, the concept of risk management in non-financial direction is not too easy to comprehend at board and senior levels. Unfortunately in some peculiar situations attention is received after brand damaging eventualities. This one day event is crafted to suit top level management and board members in corporate Ghana by providing a platform to share knowledge, experiences and ideas across multiple industries. International and local top experts as well as senior managers and board level members in corporations will share ideas on good practice, learning outcomes and practical solutions to the issues surrounding healthy workplaces and QHSE control. This event is the first step to Ghana’s involvement in the global Vision Zero campaign.
Who’s expected at this event?
The event is strictly aimed persons at decision making levels at each representative organization. The event is aimed at changing the conversation in each participating enterprise with hands on and implementable strategies thus, registration to the event is open to three participants per organization. We advise any three participants at board level, Senior Directorships, HSEQ, Personnel, CSR and Financial Directors to participate. The date for this important event is 31st October 2018 at the Accra International Conference Centre from 9:00am – 4:00pm Participating organizations are encouraged to join vision zero globally and at national level to support one another improve working conditions.
